Lara Owen Reporter, C&IT

From a stellar location to a plethora of event spaces, here’s a review of one of Naples’ top MICE hotels.

Location

Perfectly situated in Piazza Garibaldi, Starhotels Hotel Terminus has links to the central train station to catch the metro and several bus stops with various connections. For those that would rather walk to explore the city, the hotel is a short stroll from the Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Napoli and the Teatro di San Carlo.

Event Spaces

The refined and contemporary style of Hotel Terminus provides an elegant blank canvas for all events, and having spaces that have capacities that span from 8 to 200 delegates means there is plenty of room for imagination.

All event spaces come with projectors and a workspace network that you are able to join for high quality audio-visual conference calls. Furthermore, the hotel will supply an in-house event professional to assist you in the organisation, such as providing menu options and tailoring technological solutions to best suit your event.

From conferences to cocktails; the choice of eight meeting rooms means the atmosphere can be perfectly tailored to align with your event. On top of this, you are also able to hire Terminus’ Odeon Restaurant and rooftop terrace, where you can enjoy traditional Neapolitan cuisine and breathtaking views of the Bay of Naples.

Rooms

There are 169 rooms and suites throughout the 7-story hotel. Arranged within this, there are seven classes of rooms: beginning with a classic room, then moving to the superior rooms, deluxe rooms, junior suites, suites and then finally family and connecting rooms.

All rooms boast floor-to-ceiling windows, which offer superb natural light and expansive views of the city, whether you are north, east or west facing. Included within every room is satellite TV and high-speed internet. Suites go on to provide ‘VIP treatment’, offering late check out, a 10% discount on the hotel menu, an espresso coffee machine and a detached living space. All rooms comprise of a fawn colour palette, providing a luxurious and calming environment to enjoy.

Extra Facilities

Included within the hotel’s facilities are a rooftop terrace, the Odeon bar and restaurant, a guarded garage for cars and a 24-hour fitness room.

The rooftop offers a panoramic terrace overlooking the Bay of Naples, an integral part of the property, perfect for either business lunches or recuperating after a busy day.

The Odeon restaurant and bar is where a complimentary breakfast buffet is served every morning. The vast dining room offers everything from light snacks to both international and Neapolitan cuisine and with lower ceilings, the restaurant is a spacious yet cosy space that can also be hired for events.

Sustainability

It is clear that sustainability is a top priority for the hotel. In your room you will find fully recycled stationery with no plastic, refillable toiletries and bottles made with recycled plastic resulting in a 25% reduction in CO2 emissions. It is a testament to providing environmentally-friendly alternatives in a luxurious setting.
